Welcome to Open Kitchen's Foodshare

Open Kitchen is a charity providing food and help for people in and around Maidenhead who can not afford to feed themselves properly.

Queen's Award

Congratulations to all the volunteers and supporters of Foodshare. We have been awarded the Queens Award for Voluntary Service. This is a hugely prestigious award that is described as the MBE for volunteer groups. It is awarded personally by the Queen, in recognition of all the fantastic work the volunteers of Foodshare have done to help people in poverty.

What we do

Site Highlights

Poverty

The reason Foodshare is needed is there are many people in and around Maidenhead who live in poverty. To get a feel of what poverty is like for them, read some of their stories in our section on Poverty.
