FoodbankOn Monday evenings, Wednesday mornings, Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings we distribute food to families who are unable to feed themselves properly.
We provide non-perishable food to families who are unable to afford a proper meal every day for themselves or their children. We currently provide for over 100 families each week.

Our primary focus on providing nutritious food. We aim to provide a family of 4 with 3 days of non-perishable food. We work with the local community to deliver fresh home cooked meals. We also work with our local grocer to supplement the food with fresh fruit and vegetables.
To ensure food reaches those who most need it, food is provided only to families identified to us by appropriate professionals.
There are many more families who need food who we are not currently able to reach. So we are running our "One Item a Week" campaign to encourage 1,000 people to donate a single item of food each week. See below for details.
Each week we cook around 100 meals which are immediately frozen. They are given to families who are looking for freshly cooked food, but who are not able to come to any of the cooked meals we provide. It provides them with tasty, home cooked, and nutritious food.
Fruit and Vegetables
One of the major difficulties Foodbanks encounter is providing nutrients from fresh food. We are delighted to be working with the Fruit and Veg stall in Maidenhead High Street. Foodshare issues a £5 voucher to everyone who receives a Foodbank voucher, which they can exchange for fresh fruit and vegetables at the stall. Without this support, we would not have the infrastructure to handle fresh fruit and vegetables. The recipients can choose what food they like most, and we can be certain the money we spend is used exclusively for fresh food.
